Bring the family, there's something for everyone at Sky Valley. The resort offers a lot of outdoor sports activities in a serene, beautiful, unspoiled setting. Lap swimming feels luxurious in the seasonal junior Olympic-size heated pool. If you need more of a workout, try the exercise equipment. Golf is outstanding here, too. Guys will love the fishing, right on the property. Kids will love the great outdoors here, and the playground provides lots of fun, too. Resort hours of operations are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Sunday. Resort check-in times 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Clean, quiet, comfortable: each unit provides a homey feel to guests seeking peace and relaxation after an active day of sports and sightseeing. Depending on the selection, one-bedroom units sleep up to four or six, two-bedrooms accommodate up to six or eight, and three bedrooms sleep eight. The resort restaurant is closed, but cooking is convenient in the full kitchen, equipped with a microwave and dishwasher. Another bonus: you can do a quick laundry in your room, each unit comes with its own washer and dryer. Each unit has free Wi-Fi and free long-distance calling.
Surrounded by the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains, the tiny Dillard in north Georgia has a population of about 200. The town is a destination for autumn leaf-watching the brilliant-colored trees light up the sky like fireworks. Dillard House is famous and should be on your To-Do list. The restaurant serves Southern and Appalachian fare, family style all you can eat! Apple butter and acorn squash souffle are specialties. Dating back to the 1910s, Thomas Edison and Lady Bird Johnson ate here. Dillard House also has a petting zoo, stables, fishing, and more.
