You’ll spend your vacation at a former farmhouse built around the turn of the century (1900). After German reunification, it was used as a horse farm for nearly 20 years. Large parts of the property have been renovated. The farm is located in a very quiet setting in the village of Weddin, which has 87 residents. At night, all you can hear are the animals in the forest. This beautiful four-sided farmstead is nestled in the stunning foothills of the Fläming. It is surrounded by vast, biodiverse forests and cultivated landscapes. It is just 17 km to the Hoher Fläming Nature Park Center (Tourist Information) in the village of Raben, where you’ll also find Rabenstein Castle (first mentioned in 1251). The Hoher Fläming Nature Park offers countless kilometers of hiking and biking trails.
Not far from the village of Weddin (approx. 12 km) lies Lutherstadt Wittenberg with its many sights. The City Church, the Castle Church, the Luther House, and the Melanchthon House are all part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Also definitely worth a visit is the Garden Kingdom of Dessau–Wörlitz (approx. 15 km), which is also an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
