Summary: Blueberry Shore exceeded our expectations! We were immediately greeted with serenity and a sense of home. Our boys (7 and 3 years old) instantly gravitated to the abundance of outdoor space to explore. We were sad to see the little play house is no longer present, but the kiddos had endless opportunities for fun. Searching for treasures at low tide and casting for fish off the dock was so rewarding. What a blessing it was for our whole family to soak in nature and embrace the gift of a slower pace. Vinalhaven was a beautiful place to vacation with hikes, ocean, and adventure at every turn. State Beach was soooo close to Blueberry Shore that it made the location even more ideal. Inside the home, Blueberry Shore was stocked with more amenities and comforts than we anticipated. Plenty of spices, condiments, snacks, appliances, pots/pans/gadgets were available. It was easy to feel right at home. The three bedrooms were very spacious. Two King beds are upstairs with the Queen bedroom downstairs. Extra sleeping was available via an extra mattress in the Queen bedroom, a sleeper-sofa in the downstairs TV den, and a futon in the amazing upstairs Art Room. The built-in loft nook could work for a fun kiddo sleeping quarters as well. (We appreciated that the upstairs has a door that can be closed off for added safety). We could go on and on! We highly recommend this home! We most certainly hope to make more memories on the shores of such a special and peaceful place!
