Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: A quiet, comfortable, very compact unit up in the hills to the northwest of Dunedin. The sweeping Dunedin roads provide easy access to the city centre, which is about a 10-minute drive most of the time. The host was very welcoming and helpful, and we enjoyed staying here for several days. There are limited cooking facilities and the host sorts out dishwashing every day; this took a bit of getting used to but in fact worked very well. The room is cosy in cooler weather, and easily cooled when it gets warm. The bathroom is good and has an excellent shower unit. The WiFi signal is very good.

Negative: The glass shelf over the small bathroom basin gets in the way when brushing teeth. (We'd have been happy not to have the shelf at all since there is plenty of space on the shelf-tower to one side of the basin.)

Summary: A compact, comfortable unit in a quiet location with a very helpful, welcoming host
